NCERT Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2024 announced : Application For Teacher Education Programmes

The NCERT Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2024 is scheduled to take place on June 16, with admit cards downloadable from June 10 to June 16. This examination serves as the gateway for admission to various teacher education programs offered by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) at its Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs) situated in Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysore, and Shillong across India.

Important Dates

The application process commenced on April 30 and will conclude on May 31. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official website at cee.ncert.gov.in.

For applicants appearing in CEE-2024 for BSc BEd, BA BEd, and MSc Ed programs, the last date for uploading qualifying examination marks is June 20. For those applying for BEd, BEd-MEd, and MEd programs, the deadline is May 30.

Results for the BSc BEd, BA BEd, and MSc Ed programs will be announced on July 5, while results for the BEd, BEd-MEd, and MEd programs will be declared on July 10.

Programme

The programs offered include BSc BEd (4-year), BA BEd (4-year), MSc Ed (6-year), BEd (2-year), BEd-MEd (3-year), and MEd (2-year) under various RIEs.

Seats available for different programs across RIEs are detailed, including specific regional and program-wise distribution.

Syllabus

The syllabus for the CEE-2024 includes sections on Language Proficiency, Teaching Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability, each covering specific topics and areas of focus.

Groups and Tests

The examination will consist of separate question papers for different course groups (Group-A: BSc BEd/BA BEd/MSc Ed, Group-B: BEd/BEd-MEd, Group-C: MEd), with varying difficulty levels based on educational background.

The test booklets will be provided in English and Hindi only, with a total of 80 questions to be answered within a duration of 120 minutes.

Scoring will follow a pattern of +2 marks for each correct answer and a penalty of -0.5 marks for each incorrect answer.
