IGNOU July 2026 fresh admission registration closes on September 15. Check eligible programmes, documents required and steps to apply online.Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for fresh admission to the July 2026 session until September 15, 2026. The extension applies to notified programmes offered through both Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online modes, except certificate programmes.
Eligible students who have not yet applied can complete the admission process through the respective IGNOU Samarth portals.
Documents required
Applicants should keep the following documents ready:
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Scanned signature
- Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets/certificates, wherever applicable
- Relevant educational qualification certificates
- Experience certificate, if required for the chosen programme
- Category certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates, wherever applicable
- APAAR ID, as required during the current admission process
