How to apply for GATE 2027
Candidates can complete the application through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) by following these steps:
- Visit the official GATE 2027 website.
- Open the GOAPS application portal and register using the required details.
- Complete DigiLocker-based verification, which is mandatory for Indian nationals.
- Enter personal, academic and examination details.
- Select the preferred GATE paper or eligible two-paper combination.
- Upload the required documents and photograph/signature as specified.
- Pay the application fee and submit the form.
- Download and retain the confirmation page for future reference.
GATE 2027 introduces a new Robotics and Automation (RA) paper. The official website also lists revisions to several syllabi and paper combinations, so candidates should check the updated information before selecting their paper.
The examination will be conducted on February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21, 2027, with results scheduled for March 19, 2027.
