Registration for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 is set to begin on August 27, 2026. The registration schedule was recently revised, with the application opening date moved from August 14 to August 27. IIT Madras is conducting GATE 2027.

GATE scores are used for admission to postgraduate programmes such as MTech and also for PhD admissions and recruitment by several public-sector organisations.

How to Apply for GATE 2027

Candidates can follow these steps once registration opens:

  1. Visit the official GATE 2027 website.
  2. Register through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS).

  4. Log in and fill in personal, academic and communication details.
  5. Select the GATE paper or permitted two-paper combination.

Documents Required
