IIT Delhi Launches Quantum Biology Course, No JEE Score Required

The Continuing Education Programme (CEP) at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has introduced a new interdisciplinary course titled “Quantum Biology: From Molecules to Medicine”, allowing students and professionals to apply without appearing for the JEE examination.

The short-term programme will be conducted from July 31 to August 2, 2026, and aims to explore how quantum mechanics influences biological systems, ageing, enzyme reactions, mitochondrial electron transport, and medical applications such as phototherapy.

According to IIT Delhi, the course is open to:

  • Undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Researchers
  • Working professionals interested in science, medicine, and emerging interdisciplinary research fields.

The initiative reflects a broader trend among IITs to expand access through certificate and executive programmes in emerging domains without mandatory JEE scores.
